Chinese manufacturer Niu is refining its range of electric scooters with a new, more powerful GT version attributed to its MQi model. An introductory offer drops its price below the 3000 euros mark.
Niu is today a known and recognized player in the electric scooter sector. The manufacturer’s range extends from the equivalent of 50 to 125, and is the subject of numerous tests by the specialized press. As such, Frandroid had written an essay on the NQi GTS Sport. Electrek Now we learn that a new GT variant has been introduced on its MQi model.
Bigger and more powerful
This version is above all faster thanks to its Bosch 3000 W motor, against 1400 W on the MQi + Sport version. Consequences: the two-wheeler is able to travel at a maximum speed of 70 km / h in Sport mode, or 55 km / h in Dynamic mode. Convenient for driving on peripherals or certain ring roads.
The MQi GT has a removable 2,976 Wh battery giving it a range of 70 to 80 kilometers, according to the brand’s official website. The removable aspect of the pack brings a practical side that allows the user to recharge it both at work and at home. Allow 4:30 for a full charge.
Less than 3000 euros for its launch
The electric scooter also has 14 inch wheels and can accommodate a maximum of two adult passengers. Up front, an LED screen displays all the essential driving information: remaining range, driving mode used, connectivity and speed.
For its launch, the MQi GT benefits from a reduction of 400 euros, dropping its initial price from 3399 euros to 2999 euros.
