a 90 Hz AMOLED screen and up to 12 GB of RAM for less than 350 euros

Realme is a major challenger against Xiaomi, the Chinese brand offers affordable smartphones with beautiful technical sheets. Here is a new proof with this Realme X7 Pro Ultra, hoping that it will be released in Europe.

This Realme X7 Pro Ultra is nothing extraordinary when we look at its technical sheet, in reality it is especially its characteristics-price ratio that interests us. Indeed, its characteristics have almost nothing to envy of the high-end and it is sold from around 310 euros HT (2399 yuan). For the moment, this smartphone has only been formalized in China.

Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ and 90 Hz AMOLED display

Realme picked up Mediatek’s latest SoC, the Dimensity 1000+. There are therefore four Cortex A77 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz as well as four Cortex A55 at 2.0 GHz. The GPU is a Mali G77MP9. It also embeds a 5G modem. This is the equivalent of what can be found at Qualcomm with the Snapdragon 865+. Among the variants, there are two: 8 + 128 GB or 12 + 256 GB.

As you can see, there are two colors with Realme’s slogan which could be translated as “Dare to take the plunge”, “Dare to take the plunge” or even “Take the leap”. This is quite common on newer Realme smartphones, as you can see from our review of the Realme 8 Pro. We also noted the thickness, only 7.8mm. It is very thin.

On the screen side, it is a 6.55-inch curved AMOLED panel with Full HD + definition (2400 x 1080 pixels), a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a sampling rate of 360. Hz, it is characteristic more and more put forward by the manufacturers. As you can see above, this screen is perforated in the upper left corner to house the 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The battery capacity is 4500mAh with 65W fast charge, this can charge the device to 100% in 35 minutes. On the OS side, it ships Android 11 with the Realme UI 2.0 interface.

Let’s finish with the cameras: a 64-megapixel (f / 1.8) wide-angle camera that uses Pixel Binning technology to create 16-megapixel photos. We also have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

As we mentioned above, the Realme X7 Pro Ultra has yet to be announced in Europe.
