According to information from 91Mobiles, the classic OnePlus 9 would be entitled to the full panoply of the best charging technologies: fast in 65 W, wireless in 30 W and even reversed.
The OnePlus 9 is not expected until March 2021, but leaks about it have already started to appear on the Web for several weeks now. Unsurprisingly, the community expects to see a classic variant land on one side, and a Pro on the other. A Lite version closer to the OnePlus 8T would also be on the program according to the latest rumors.
A new signed leak 91Mobiles brings us new information that at first glance is very crisp. The media, which cites a reliable source without disclosing its identity, had access to two alleged images of the classic OnePlus 9. To recognize it, 91Mobiles relied on its flat screen, attributed to this variation. The OnePlus 9 Pro, it should benefit from a curved slab.
Fairly convincing clues
In the first photo, the phone is charging… wirelessly, according to the “Charging wirelessly” indication that appears on the screen. This would be a novelty here, in the sense that only the OnePlus 8 Pro version was allowed at the time (it was also a first on the OnePlus range). Here, the 30 W wireless charging would therefore be invited directly to the classic OnePlus 9.
But that’s not all. In the second photo, the quick settings menu displays a “Reverse charge” icon, which would suggest compatibility with reverse wireless charging. The OnePlus 9 would then be the first smartphone from the Chinese brand to take advantage of it.
More powerful wired charging
Always according to 91Mobiles, the OnePlus 9 would have the right to a battery of 4500 mAh, against 4300 mAh on the OnePlus 8. The power of its wired charging would also take the lead: 65 W against 30 W on the previous generation. Here, the OnePus 9 would follow in the footsteps of the OnePlus 8T which inaugurated this charging power.
Now to know what more the OnePlus 9 Pro will offer compared to its little brother who already seems to promise us a very high-level technical sheet.
