Xiaomi has lifted the veil on its Poco X3 Pro, which opts for an aggressive pricing strategy with regard to its relatively high-end technical sheet.
The Xiaomi Poco X3 had already stood out for its philosophy oriented towards good value for money. Its Pro version just formalized by the Chinese manufacturer continues in this dynamic with an aggressive price coupled with a very interesting technical sheet on paper.
Revealed alongside the Xiaomi Poco F3, the Poco X3 Pro is akin to a massive smartphone in hand with regard to its thickness of 9.4 mm and its weight of 215 grams. It is clearly not one of the lightest smartphones on the market. This particularity is an element to be taken into account at the time of purchase.
A processor that must prove itself
In terms of performance, the mobile device has a unique Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor. This SoC has yet to be formalized, but it should be under the Snapdragon 865 – the former high-end phone star of 2020 – given its name.
Engraved in 7 nm, the Snapdragon 860 is notably composed of the Adreno 640 graphics chip. “A combination that allows you to enjoy an ultra-smooth gaming experience, even with processing-intensive 3D games at high settings“, Assures the Chinese brand, which here focuses on the gaming experience.
As such, “the smartphone also features LiquidCool 1.0 Plus, a cooling technology containing an enlarged copper heat pipe and several layers of graphite, working together to reduce the heat capacity of the device», We learn in an official press release.
Full HD et 120 Hz
The Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro sports a 6.67-inch LCD screen, a Full HD + definition and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A very high frequency for a phone of this ilk, since marketed at 299 euros in its maximum configuration (see below) or 249 euros in its most affordable version.
The screen also benefits from Gorilla Glass 6, which does not correspond to the latest generation of protection from Corning. On the back, the Poco logo is as ostentatious as ever. Xiaomi is clearly not doing half-way when it comes to marketing visuals. Finally add to this formula a jack, stereo speakers, an NFC chip, a side fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 5.0.
Four photo sensors
Powered by MIUI 12 (under Android 11), the Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro should provide good autonomy thanks to its 5160 mAh battery. Even better, its fast 33W charge won’t make you wait several hours to regain 100% energy. This is always a good point, especially with large accumulators.
In the shutter of the photo, the Xioami Poco X3 Pro offers a quadruple sensor, the characteristics of which are:
- 48 megapixel main sensor (f / 1.79);
- 8 Megapixel Ultra Wide Angle, 119 ° FOV (f / 2.2);
- 2 megapixel macro lens (f / 2.4);
- 2 megapixel depth sensor (f / 2.4).
Count on a front camera of 20 megapixels (f / 2.2).
